The Announcement of Crescent Moon of the Month of Rabi al-Thani, 1439 A.H.
Peace be upon you.
The Moon-Sighting Committee of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars in North America announces that there were no verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Monday, December 18th, 2017, in any region of North America. Therefore, Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 will be the last day of the month of Rabi al-Awwal, 1439 A.H. and Wednesday, December 20th, 2017, will be the first day of the month of Rabi al-Thani, 1439 A.H. for the entire region of North America.
